Crimmins was a semi-big deal on the stand-up circuit back in the 1980's, but had largely faded from view before he latched onto the Rolling Thunder tour.

He's had some very harsh, funny, sad, and true things to say about the Bush regime. He may be curmudgeonly but he always has something insightful to say. He usually strikes a stinging cord but maybe this time he's struck a nerve?
