Diebold admits their machines can be easily hacked
Diebold goes ballistic because the Election supervisor in Leon County Fl(Tallahassee) let Blackbox Voting test the security of the Diebold Systems.

BACKGROUND:Leon County uses the Diebold Machines that uses optical scans of paper ballots. These machines are largely thought to be safe and tamper proof. However the Blackbox people hacked the system with little effort and altered vote counts without any security alarms being tripped.

Diebold's protestations actually confirm the fears that a malicious person could easily alter the vote on their poorly designed machines. Bravo to our wonderful election supervisor for helping expose these problems.

Equipment test under fire

An attorney for the company that makes Leon County's voting equipment told state and county officials Thursday it was "very foolish and irresponsible" for Elections Supervisor Ion Sancho to let an outside group try poking holes in vote-tabulation security systems.......................

1. Oh that's funny. It's not the faulty machines, it's the people who proved
what crap they are (even though it's been an open secret for a number of years now).

4. We are lucky
We are lucky in Leon Co to have a very professional elections supervisor, but these tests show that even in a well run county the whole system could be compromised by one corrupt employee..

6. Ya Think??????!!!!!?????
Gee, maybe they will get around to admitting that they hacked their own machines during the last election. What else could explain the many precincts that suddenly gave Bush 6,000 more votes than there were voters in a precinct.

8. So they won't be used in future elections, right?
No wait, that would make sense.

12. So why don't we hack them??
I mean, it's a given that Repukes are going to cheat, so let's cheat right back.

14. BAD IDEA!!!
Elections need to be fair. If everyone is cheating, no one will have any confidence in elections or government. That might be a goal anyway. With a people who believe that all politicians are corrupt and who are dismissive of the relevance of government, those in government might be under less scrutiny and free to do as they please. Lots of folks already shrug off the present scandals.

15. Sorry, I don't think it's a bad idea.
Listen, if we keep on letting them steal elections, we will get to the point (maybe we're already there), where no Democrats will be elected. Is that what you want? If elections are being hacked by Repukes, let's hack them right back.
