...asks Peter Riddel in the UK's Times today:

"His purpose is in doubt - he'll have to fight to show he deserves a third term:

Tony Blair may remain Prime Minister for another three or four years, but to what effect? What is the point of Mr Blair’s premiership now? In Norman Lamont’s cruel, but telling, phrase about John Major ten years ago, Mr Blair risks being in “office, but not in power”.
