Proof positive that W is a Putz (Iranian edition)
Bush's lame attempt to interfere with the Iranian elections had the opposite effect of what was "intended." (Assuming he intended anything but to look wise and tough to his base.)

3. Are you sure it isn't the Kiss of Death from bush...
just ask Lieberman and McCain what kind of a kisser bush is. I am sure Lieberman and McCain will not do well in future bids for a higher political office.

2. I suspect the slam was deliberate.......
The unexpectedly strong turnout - nearly 63 per cent - produced a true surprise in the No. 2 finish of hardline Tehran Mayor Mahmoud Ahmadinejad....

(top finisher) Rafsanjani, Iran's president in 1989-1997, has said he is open to greater dialogue with the United States.

But Ahmadinejad offered no such opening after the vote was tallied Saturday, and he could take a harsher stance toward the United States and its concerns - especially accusations that Iran is secretly seeking nuclear arms. Iran denies the charges and puts them down to U.S. anger with the clerical regime....

Now kommander kookoo bananas has all the justification he could ever want to bring 'democracy' to Iran!!!! Yet a third attempt @ democracy @ the point of a gun.

4. I think that's just what Bush and the neocons intended
They want confrontation, not dialogue. Ahmedinejad in Tehran and Bolton in the UN, with a little luck it will lead to war.
