Sibel Edmonds: An Appeal to the Internet Community-W. David Jenkins III
Edited on Wed Jun-22-05 12:19 PM by calipendence
W. David Jenkins is telling us that our pressure on the media and other has worked in getting DSM elevated beyond garbage pail status with this corrupt administration! He also very eloquently states here in this piece that another issue we cannot let die is what our current whistleblowers are fighting for, most notably Sibel Edmonds, who's leading their charge!

On this topic, I expect shortly to have a cafepress.com site up to get buttons and other items like the following to be for sale, after getting Sibel's go ahead to do so, which I just received not too long ago.

As David says, we the internet have to act now! Her stop at the supreme court may be her last shot at getting her story out! Let's help her make that effort count and not get smashed like her other efforts have been by these thugs! Figure out something that you can do, whether it's calling your congressmen or something else! DO IT!

Sibel Edmonds: An Appeal to the Internet Community

June 22 2005

There has been much activity on the Internet the last few weeks regarding the Downing Street Minutes — and rightfully so. Documentation proving the Bush administration manufactured intelligence in order to invade Iraq should be on the front page of every newspaper and lead story on every newscast – but we all know how things work (or don’t work) these days. However, the strength and determination of the Internet Community has managed to keep this story from disappearing while, at the same time, applying pressure to the mainstream media.

In one instance, the Washington Post felt enough pressure from angry readers who were outraged by the paper’s burying the Downing Street story on page 18 two weeks after the news broke in Britain. Just this past Sunday (June 12), the Post featured a follow-up story on yet another document proving the Bush administration was ignoring any suggestions for post-invasion Iraq – which helps to explain the bloody chaos wrought upon that country – but this time the Post put the story on Page One. And of course there was Representative John Conyers’ forum on June 16 that set the foundation for an ongoing look into those documents, which now total nine.

All due to the relentless work of the Internet Community. Nice work, gang.

As important as the Downing Street Minutes and continued pressure on the mainstream media are to revealing the truth to the nation, there is another critically important story that requires our attention and our action — and the clock is ticking away on this one. We have only until the end of July to make a difference and perhaps turn the course of history. I’m referring to Sibel Edmonds, of course. After my conversations with her, I felt I should make an effort before time runs out and her witness to significant governmental chicanery is suppressed by that government forever.

1. She is credible
Senator Grassley (R) interviewed Sibel and declared her credible. She's been gagged ever since.

She has information on who is involved in 9/11 what the FBI might have known before 9/11. This certainly is major, major stuff worthy of more exposure.

You might remember that CBS killed a 60 minutes story on her at one point before the election.....

I sent the recent Sibel article to PBS and ABC.

The gag order alone would suggest that this woman has something significant (and dangerous to the powers that be) to say. Given our immense concern over security and the terrorist threat, we can only assume that our leadership is working diligently (i.e.,"hard") to address the issues she has exposed. Right? Yes,they are efficiently covering them up and protecting their own - with the help of our apparent indifference. Hopefully, their decision to gag her and anyone who has already heard her message and might have the power to act on it will backfire. May the absurd retroactive blanket gag order ultimately serve to protect her from any retribution. Too,given the number of people who have been gagged, wouldn't be a shame if there a were leak?
