And We Wonder
Hi All,

We repeatedly hear from the cable media and administration a quizzical refrain "why do they hate us?" The answer may be much simpler than you might think.

Suffering repeated indignity and humiliation, on top of humanitarian deprivation lightly sprinkled with a dose of ever-present death, might just be enough to send anyone over the edge.

Just imagine your daughter is the little girl in the following story. As a mother, father, sister, or brother how might you feel?

Maybe the solution is to force the president to defecate in public, like the little girl, for all to see. We have reason to believe that all the Ann Coulter wannabees would probably thrill at seeing the crown jewels!

On second thought, some would say his little misadventure in Iraq is defecation enough. Sorry Coulter wannabees, there will be no dancing jewels in your dreams tonight.

Enjoy

Bogged down in Baghdad
By Scott Taylor, In Iraq

BAGHDAD -- A little Iraqi girl -- no more than eight years old -- squatted beside the road with tears of humiliation streaming down her cheeks. Six metres away, three American soldiers had their rifles aimed at her as she was forced to relieve herself in full view of a long line of parked cars. From inside their vehicles, the Iraqi onlookers screamed their rage at the U.S. troops. Whenever one of the Iraqis ventured to step out of his vehicle, an American officer bellowed, "Get back in the car, a--hole!" and the .50-calibre machinegun mounted on the U.S. Hummer would swing menacingly towards the protester.

The terrified little girl was weeping uncontrollably by the time she dropped her skirt and ran back to her mother.

This incident took place on Sunday, Sept. 14, after a detachment of the U.S. 101st Airborne Division set up a roadblock on the Samara-Kirkuk highway. The purpose was to conduct a thorough weapons search of all traffic along this route. Without enough personnel to man the roadblock, cars and trucks were soon backed up for at least two kilometres in each direction.

Snip ......

1. Zero-tolerance policy for anti-American sentiment

Not one word of praise or gratitude for the noble Crusaders having spared the life of this alleged child, about whose crimes, past, present or future against the Coalition so little is known?

In a year, she will bring a nice price, she may have two or three more years in which to plot terrorist acts against her liberators.

"SUPPORT THE TROOPS!", remember..

another revoltingly ironic bit later in the article, seems they have a Palestinian-American soldier involved with the occupation in Kirkuk. There's also a rundown of some of the hired guns involved in the criminal occupation, both foreign and corporate mercenaries,

--snip--

In addition to the deployment of foreign troops into Iraq, the U.S. interim authority has also contracted a number of corporate security firms to assist coalition troops in protecting strategic resources. To protect their own personnel, Kellog, Brown and Root -- the major U.S. corporate contractor for Iraq's reconstruction -- has hired its own local armed guards. Dressed in civilian clothing and carrying Kalashnikov assault rifles, the KBR security staff patrol the compounds around the Baghdad hotels which house U.S. executives.

The problem is that nobody is quite clear as to what jurisdiction or authority these "rent-a-gun" agencies are entitled.

"If my men see an Iraqi carrying a weapon, they'll not wait to find out whose side he's on," said an Australian captain, who requested anonymity.

"They'll shoot first, and identify the remains later."

--snip--
(taken from the same link)

And people here say the occupation is for Iraq's benefit..
This report collection probably also deserves a spot in LBN if you want to repost it to a bigger crowd..

6. Easy to grasp message!
(snip) "Our guys are not about to start taking any chances. We are planning to survive the tour, get home safe and get the hell out of the army," Kostens concluded.

"And God help any Iraqis who get in the way of that plan." (snip)

Wish everyone could read this article. It could clear up a lot of confusion about what's going on there.

the soldier asked, before casually cracking a young child's skull with the butt of his rifle.

Support the troops? If you do, you're supporting the disgusting and horrific acts carried out by sleazy thugs. I'm a pacifist, and stuff like this just makes me ill.
