Sherrod Brown

One thing you can count on in Congress these days. They always save the good stuff for the middle of the night.

Almost every piece of controversial legislation that has passed Congress since Texas Republican Tom DeLay consolidated power has been voted on in the middle of the night.

It started a couple of years ago.

At 2:54 a.m. on Friday, March 21, 2003, the House cut veterans benefits by three votes...

4. Sherrod Brown used to be Ohio SoS and could shed light on Nov. 2...
Regarding punch card ballots, what would be really interesting to find out and perhaps Sherrod Brown could shed some light:

One thing I find suspicous about Ohio punch card ballots is that the precinct codes are not prepunched. Why not use the technology that would ensure that the correct tabulating program was used?

My contact in Indiana said in IN precincts were punched so the tabulating program knew how to interpret the punches.

Using header cards in OH. My question is has it always been so. If not why? Was it this way when Sherrod Brown was SoS? What might Sherrod Brown be able to tell us if asked? Has Dayton Legal Blank always been the vendor? If not what might a previous vendor tell us about precinct headers and the potential for mistabulation.

Anyone on DU who has press type credentials if they could query Sherrod Brown on these details it could shed light on how mistabulation could throw an election
