Last Night's Daily Show
Woodward and Bernstein were both on. It was the first time I had ever seen Bernstein. He was very refreshing. Even Woodward was bearable for a change.

If you have Direct TV it will be reshown tonight at 8:00 Eastern and again at 11:30 on the Comedy Channel. Its worth a recommendation.

2. It also is re-run on Charter Cable at 11:30 PM, right after his show
for today.

I agree, Both did a good job, but I am much more aligned with Bernstein than Woodward.

4. Bernstein was just great, honest and straight forward, if the SCLM
really existed we would see Bernstein all the time and not stupid ass Woodward.

6. The Difference Between Them Was Clear
Bernstein made real substantive points. Woodward said nothing of substance.

Woodward has been accused of being very protective of his access to top government officials. If you give him access, he will make you look good. If you don't give him interviews for his books, he will make you look bad. That is why the Bush White House gave Woodward so much access in the past - and Woodward's books made them look like great leaders.

Woodward isn't that much better than Bill O'Reilly. If you come on his show, he won't attack you as much.

The best reporting in 2002-2003 in the build-up to the Iraq War came from Knight-Ridder's Washington Bureau reporters. This is because they did not have access to the top Bush administration officials, and were not afraid of losing that access. Instead, they talked to the mid-level career government and military officials who really knew what was going on. If you read those articles today, the Bush Administration's misinformation campaign was clearly visible in 2002.

7. Bernwood and Wardstein.........
haven't done a thing since Watergate. They've rested on their laurels since then and are immaterial in today's journalistic arena.

10. Woodward is a bloviator and tends to dominate a conversation
Given half the chance. I last saw them together on Larry King Live and Woodward was forever butting in on Carl and talking over him. He monopolized the whole interview.
I guess Carl's learned from that and refused to back down this time.
