Edited to put the quote up front.

'One of them made cuts in my penis. I was in agony'

Tuesday August 2, 2005
The Guardian

Benyam Mohammed travelled from London to Afghanistan in July 2001, but after September 11 he fled to Pakistan. He was arrested at Karachi airport on April 10 2002, and describes being flown by a US government plane to a prison in Morocco. These are extracts from his diary.

They cut off my clothes with some kind of doctor's scalpel. I was naked. I tried to put on a brave face. But maybe I was going to be raped. Maybe they'd electrocute me. Maybe castrate me.

They took the scalpel to my right chest. It was only a small cut. Maybe an inch. At first I just screamed ... I was just shocked, I wasn't expecting ... Then they cut my left chest. This time I didn't want to scream because I knew it was coming.

One of them took my penis in his hand and began to make cuts. He did it once, and they stood still for maybe a minute, watching my reaction. I was in agony. They must have done this 20 to 30 times, in maybe two hours. There was blood all over. "I told you I was going to teach you who's the man," eventually said.

They cut all over my private parts. One of them said it would

Winning over one heathen at a time by torture. Chimp and the rest of his impotent ilk don't even have a penis between them, so I guess I'll have to be satisfied gouging our their little, pig-like eyes (nothin' against pigs) out after we take over. Sigh!

6. This is against Geneva Conventions and International Law. Brits signed
Edited on Tue Aug-02-05 10:50 PM by KoKo01
both. Unless Blair can weasel out of this by claiming like the Chimp does that "terrorists" are not bound by Geneva Conventions, then he should be brought to justice. I can't imagine the Brits are as brain dead as we are here. I have to hope that some one in Parliament will investigate this.

I've given up that anyone here in America will investigate what these perverts who are in charge of our government are doing. :nuke:

8. Did I miss something? Hasn't the US signed onto Geneva Conventions?
is the US above International law? The writer was taken by the US not the Brits, tortured by the US not the Brits, and later he found out that the Brits were part of it too.

9. We signed onto Geneva Conventions but Bush and Supemes have
declared that "terrorists" don't come under the Geneva Convention Accords. Because they aren't "organized." Bush and Rummy said that at the beginning and it was just reaffirmed that US has power to do whatever it wants. :-(

However, I don't think that Great Britain has allowed Blair to declare the same thing as Bush. For some reason Blair is getting like the Chimp, though...untouchable. It's all very disturbing given that Blair and Bush, joined at the hip, think they are above everyone and all laws. Both of them Emperors their brains filled with dreams of the "New World Order."

7. Yep
I'm searching for the british ambassador's account where they boil the limbs of a friend of his .It's equally cruel and depressing as this , yet when his seven year old son , of the proffesor who was tortured makes a remark ....i couldn't but figurativly hit my head against the wall to not cry ....he had to explain to his son what was up with the world ,

it was an article on the BBC about Uzbekistan .....beginning of this year

Firstly, I'm always happy to see your posts - it helps ne to feel that the outside world is taking notice of this hell...I'm so glad that you visit DU and hope that you are our one-man ambassador in your country - please tell people that we are not the animals that our government represents, and that we have been hijacked and taken hostage. Let your countrymen and women know how many of us are working hard for change.
Secondly, I'm not understanding the context of your post - who did what to whom? Were these acts also committed by the US or the British?

18. Thank you very much
And the british didn't codemn the tortured individual's status .The man was a personal friend of that ambassador who served at the time , and when the ambassador told the FCO about the situation ...in what i assume was an attempt to get him out of the country he was gently told to leave .This was back in the days when the coalition still had their lush airbase ....and i'm sorry the post was a bit odd , but i was thinking about the sidenote the ambassador made about the agony of the man comming back to his family .He didn't go into any details about the torture ,left everything to mather-a-fact reporting ...but when he talked about the man and his childeren , and their changed relationship ....it touched me that every action like this taken has repercussions beyond the means of our mind .

And also the fact that this ambassador was put on the sidelines because he went to the BBC for talking out about , even non-western citizens being tortured ....
....guess i just got angry and missed on writting out the point .

Damn you crappy dark age of mine ...

and in return thank you for trying to save America , it's surely a huge feat which if pulled of would be a first in history ....as ever best of fortune and strength to you all

11. So our MSM won't publish this ... the Guardian does and ...
it is all over England and Europe and from there all over the world - with the additional lesson that we are covering it up instead of investigating it and stopping it.

Is this how you bring respect back to the United States of America?
What a sorry sorry sorry day for America.

why it is that you are surprised by this.

I don't want to seem jaded, but I don't put anything past these sadists.

Neither should you.

16. Exactly. And you have to wonder what is in those Abu Ghraib photos that
the Administration is refusing to yield to the ACLU despite a court order. "National Security," you know. From what Sy Hersh said months ago, there is child rape, for example. Obviously a mini-terrorist, since only terrorists are ever, ever detained, don't you know?

15. I read another thread on this here last night.
My only thought was, They cite the guy making truly horrendous claims, they cite the guy claiming millions of other people were witnesses to truly horrendous things perpetrated on him.

But nobody could either say, "OK, whip it out, I want to see the scars", or contact anybody else for confirmation?

One witness is no witness, I think the Latin proverb goes.
