Slate article on Cindy
It's just awful. I'm in shock. I thought Slate was liberal.

Now imagine if she gets it.

1. Why anyone (including Vanity Fair) pays Chris Hitchens
to write anything is beyond me. First - he may be smart but he is always drunk. Second - when he writes he gets so involved in trying to be clever that you can not discern his meaning. I think the editors just pass his shit on with a shrug.

2. This boozy fop loses credibility immediately, when he refers,
with a straight face, to Bush's bullshit adventure as "a real war."

3. He writes this kind of stuff regularily
Slate presents many sides of the spectrum.

5. Christopher Hitchens Is A Former Leftist Who Turned...
IMO, Christopher Hitchens is a former leftist who has turned into a toady for the Gee Dubya Bush administration. Like many former marxists, he retains an especially intense hatred for non-marxist progressives like the Clintons.

6. Hitchens is a reactionary nut these days
and if people threaten to stop reading Slate, they may be let go... just like The Nation and Vanity Fair (I believe) did.

7. Slate maybe liberal
but Christopher Hitchens is a pro-war asshole.
Otherwise he is a leftist.

9. "Otherwise he is a leftist"?
No.

No "leftist" would side with the Bush administration over Cindy Sheehan. In fact, no rational human being would.

8. No one pays any attention to this old drunk.
He is hateful and spews ugliness. People in his business laugh about him.
