Duty: The right to face off on Prairie Chapel Road (Waco Trib)
<snip> I am a new Marine mom. Our youngest son decided on this career choice when he was in eighth grade. This spring he joined the United States Marines.

He has chosen to defend the freedoms that both sets of protesters celebrate out on Prairie Chapel Road.

Our democratic form of government is a work in progress, continuously taking shape only through debate and discussion. The tough questions people like Cindy Sheehan are asking only serve to make us stronger as a nation, assuming that we do discuss. <snip>

Dissent must not be squelched. Blind obedience is not patriotic. It never has been, and never will be. <snip>

1. Bin Laden and Saddam are not the threats to American freedom that Bush is
I'm delighted that this woman concluded that dissent in America must not be squelched at any cost. But what her son is protecting is Dick Cheney's stock options. BUSH is the one who hates Americans for their freedoms--he has now has the same powers to throw people in jail with no charges and no lawyer and torture them that Saddam did.

2. Beautifully said.
That brought tears to my eyes. Bravo to Mary. I hope her son will be okay.

3. Very well said. Am I also correct in my recollection that
she is the owner of the pizza shop supplying pizza to Camp Casey?
