Question: Is Dick Cheney Dead?
Missing VP raises health questions again

by Greg Lloyd Smith

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- (OfficialWire) -- 09/05/05 -- ?Is it just me or is someone missing? Thinking out loud, has anyone noticed that U.S. Vice-President Dick Cheney has not been heard from recently? Oh, I know, he's on vacation, but no interviews, no photo-ops, nothing. I would have thought that we should have heard his take on the recent debacle in New Orleans or at least the party-line about how the government is doing 'all that it can' for the storm victims of Hurricane Katrina. But nothing.

In fact, if you Google his name there really isn't much to speak of and that's got to worry you.

Cheney is a sick man. He's had several heart attacks that we know about and this year is the year that his 'ticker' is supposed to get an overhaul, so it's not too far-fetched to wonder if he's dead. In fact, many pundits wonder why he hasn't 'bought the farm' before now.

I know, you're thinking, 'but if they (the Bush administration) kept the death of the vice president a secret that would be illegal or something wouldn't it?' And?

13. Interesting
I was wondering about Cheyney a couple of days ago, googled and got the link to the cancelled Canada visit and picture from Reuters.

At that time the picture was on the Reuters site, captioned with something like 'Cheney and Joe Blow and John Doe wait in the rosegarden during *bush's address about Katrina'. The implication clearly was it was taken sometime within the last few days.

If you look now the pic is gone from the sites with no explanation. My guess it was an old pic, recycled for the story but it wouldn't take people long to identify it as an old pic and it was pulled. Theres still a thumbnail if you google news, dick cheyney. Anyone guess how long ago it was taken?

6. I'm not sure if he was photographed, BUT...
...it was reported that Rove and Cheney were "in attendance" when Bush made his remarks.

15. While NOLA has died, he's been buying real estate.
According to the WaPo yesterday, he'll close this week on a $2.9 million estate in St. Mary's Country, MD near Rumsfeld's duck hunting retreat.

Cheney still has nearly three years left in his term. Why is he buying a house now? Hmmmm.

Can't access my post (with link) on this yesterday because that feature is down.

16. Speak to Us Mr. VP
Raised one of the first threads here wondering where the second in command was amidst the disaster and it's clear a lot of other people are wondering too. What we have is a freaking "in absentia" government. For all we know what showed at the Rose Garden was probably a double--remember how our old bugaboo Sadam who supposedly had several?

Reporters ought to be demanding that the man who in an emergency could take the reins of the country tell us what his role is in all of this (we know ofcourse it's "make more billions for Halliburton") but I'd like to get in from the horse's mouth. Or is it from the horse's ass?

18. Wishful Thinking
We couldn't be that lucky. If Cheney were dead, there would be no good reason NOT to impeach, convict and imprison Bush. And nobody to stop it, either.

20. Heartless and wife are buying a new house
they are closing the deal, so it takes a lot of time and also, he has been getting the Haliburton contracts together to clean up NO. He can't be bothered with those pesky humnan needs. After all, he has his and he's getting more every day. We only wish he were dead.
