Good stuff. Lots of info about FEMA's failures and interference.

(snip)

But furious state and local officials insisted that the real problem was that the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which Mr. Chertoff's department oversees, failed to deliver urgently needed help and, through incomprehensible red tape, even thwarted others' efforts to help.

"We wanted soldiers, helicopters, food and water," said Denise Bottcher, press secretary for Gov. Kathleen Babineaux Blanco of Louisiana. "They wanted to negotiate an organizational chart."

http://gregpalast.com/detail.cfm?artid=453&row=0 also was carried by Baltimore chronical- the Baltimore Chronical http://baltimorechronicle.com/2005/090205Palast.shtml same article Most other sources mention something about golf on last Monday- relatively trivial but I would like a confirmation or correction if anyone has one.

"After polishing off a round of golf on Monday while the levees broke and the city of New Orleans filled with angry flood waters and angrier refugees," http://www.aurorasentinel.com/main....535&TM=27595.34

2. All day I have pondering this
The bush people are saying now is not the time to point fingers at who's to blame. My question is, when is the time? There could be another natural disaster such as an earthquake which has no warning or another 'terrorist" attack today, tomorrow. Do we want these buffoons in charge. I say HELL no!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, let's start pointing fingers. The sooner the better!
