Charles Krauthammer: Disingenuous Dope
Here's a guy who cannot tell the difference between a natural disaster and the response to its aftermath.

Krauthammer: Blaming Katrina disaster on Bush policies is like burning witches, massacring Jews

Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer opined that blaming the devastation of Hurricane Katrina on global warming, the Iraq war, or tax cuts favored by the Bush administration is an indication that "our progressive thinkers have not progressed an inch" from "less enlightened times," when "witches were burned" and "Jews were massacred" in response to natural disasters.

From Krauthammer's September 9 Post column:

In less enlightened times there was no catastrophe independent of human agency. When the plague or some other natural disaster struck, witches were burned, Jews were massacred and all felt better (except the witches and Jews).

A few centuries later, our progressive thinkers have progressed not an inch. No fall of a sparrow on this planet is not attributed to sin and human perfidy. The three current favorites are: (1) global warming, (2) the war in Iraq and (3) tax cuts. Katrina hits and the unholy trinity is immediately invoked to damn sinner-in-chief George W. Bush.

1. This is one of the journalists who has legitimacy with the
misdirected flock. Props again to mediamatters. Now, how to counter this message? We can't. They are beyond reach, I'm thinking, though I've seen inklings on DU of enlightenment.

3. Small Thought Propaganda (STP) from a very small thinker (vst)
Tossing out a red herring to see if anyone will gnaw upon it.

Such small and unproductive powers of persuasion.

No wonder people are seeing through the Republican propagandists.

Reality is colliding with the facade of propaganda they raise.

4. So Bush didn't fuckup on purpose but with so much incompetence
it just SEEMS like he meant it on first glance.

But where do tax cuts fit in? How was THAT a "mistake"? Did he really mean to raise them and put in a minus instead of a plus?

Krauthammer. Typical neocon who believes that telling us a lie is for our own good. Given that, why trust Bush's bona fides?

6. He is on a different payroll.....
He is one of the PNAC "Fouding Fathers". If you check on the PNAC (Project for a New American Century) he is one of the signers at the bottom of the documents.

This man is as bad as Bush, RumsFailed, Cheney.

7. Krauthammer is a habitual liar. Back when the army announced ..
.. that some looted materials from the Baghdad museum had been returned BUT there were still 10,000 items missing, Krauthammer wrote a bullshit piece claiming that on 36 pieces were still missing.

Comparing the ourage over the destruction of New Orleans to the pogroms and the holocaust is the standard and repulsive rightwing extremism.

Krauthammer has little conscience and absolutely no integrity. Why would anybody would even bother to look at his tripe?
