Absolutely Awesome Article By Nancy Greggs On Home Page!!
Damn, I couldn't have said it better myself...Democrats...Get A Spine...Or Resign!!
Damn, Ms. Greggs has managed to more eloquently, and more politely say the very things I have been SCREAMING for the past four and a half years!!

She's right we are angry!! I'm very fucking angry!!

To borrow a phrase from The Gropinator...I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take it anymore!!

Democrats, if you want to finally grow a spine, and stand up for what is right and what is decent, you can rest assured I'll have your back...and I'm betting I won't be the only one to have your back!

From the movie "Network", 1976.
Link is to entire speech.

Won't count on current Demos who are spineless to grow one.

2. Thanks!
Gonna have to check out this movie! So, the phrase didn't originate with The Gropinator, did it?

Well, anyway...Ahhhnold was the first place I heard the phrase, anyway.

I am most definitely going to have to see about renting this movie...it's on my list now!

Something tells me Howard Beale and myself would have a lot in common, and I'd probably see a lot of myself in him.

3. I Know....
Pitiful. Fuckin' bastards keep caving and caving and caving to the Repukes, because they have no goddamn spine, and the only reason I keep voting for them is the hope of keeping a Repuke out of office.

The current crop of Dems have given me nothing to vote for, and I'd stay at home on Election Day, if it weren't for the fact that the Repukes have given me something to vote AGAINST!

Damn, what I wouldn't give for a Democrat I could vote FOR...instead of just voting AGAINST another Repuke!

I was a JRE supporter from way back, JRE is the kind of guy I CAN vote for. Dean was also the kind of guy I could vote FOR...unfortunately, he shot himself in the foot. And the media savaged him.

I was not too wild about Kerry, in fact, the only candidate I was less enthused about was Lieberman. But when he picked JRE as his running mate, I had some hope.

I have no hope in most of the current Dem politicians, but there are a few bright spots out there, like JRE...and Barack Obama! Goddamn, is he dynamic, or what?? First time I saw Obama speak, I turned, looked at the three friends who were watching this with me on TV, and said, "see here...you are looking at America's first Black President!"

4. actually, in terms of DOING things, I think Conyers is doing a
better job than Obama.

Obama is flashier, eye-and-ear candy, but I don't see him being BOLD enough for my tastes.

5. You Hit The Nail
and therein lies the problem. Much as we would hate to admit this...most of America votes for style over substance. And even you admit that Obama is eye and ear candy in a way that Conyers isn't.

We want to WIN.

IMNSHO, if the Dem ticket were reversed, JRE/Kerry....I think we might very well have WON. Because Kerry was not eye or ear candy. JRE was.

Hell, JRE was a "jumper" just like JF Kennedy was!! He was most definitely eye candy. And, to me, JRE was and is most definitely EAR candy!

Bottom line...I am sick and tired of Repuke rule! I will do ANYTHING to throw the yoke of Corporate America off my neck! And that means beating the Repukes...whatever it takes.

6. We did win. Arguing about what we "did wrong" is pointless
unless my hubby is right in contending that the election fraud trick only works when it appears to be a close race.

i don't believe the race was as close as it looked, and, in any case, I know that we won.

Could be that the only thing we can do to beat the repukes is get better at election fraud ourselves.
