FBI PREOCUPPIED WITH WAR ON PORN:

CRIME --
FBI PREOCUPPIED WITH WAR ON PORN:

Since September 11, counterterrorism operations have been a top priority for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As a result, the Justice Department's Inspector General has found that the FBI is investigating only about half the criminal cases it did prior to September 11. Yet the drop has been "steepest in drug cases and extended to organized crime, bank robberies, civil rights, health care fraud, corporate fraud and public corruption ." Meanwhile, obscenity cases have increased, reflecting the Justice Department's new priorities to track down "manufacturers and purveyors" of consensual adult pornography.

4. track down "manufacturers and purveyors" of consensual adult pornography
Do they have any free samples of what it is we are not supposed to see or do?

I hate to think that if engaged in some form of sexual pleasure, I am also committing a crime...

6. ironically....
Strange isn't it, that while it's not yet illegal for consenting adults (married or otherwise) to engage in sexual congress, there seems to be a drive to make its depiction illegal.

10. In PA, local police nailing guys for sex with young girls
Local police in some areas of PA. have been rather aggressive in catching and prosecuting adults who are trying to have sex with young girls (such as 13 year olds) they meet over the internet. That is the type of crime that the FBI should be helping to fight.

11. Scalia "Orgies are the way to ease social tensions"
Orgies are the way to ease social tensions, claims US judge

Oliver Burkeman in New York
Friday October 1, 2004
The Guardian

He is the conservative bastion of the US supreme court, a favourite of President Bush, and a hunting partner of the vice-president. He has argued vociferously against abortion rights, and in favour of anti-sodomy laws.

But it turns out that there is another side to Justice Antonin Scalia: he thinks Americans ought to be having more orgies.

Challenged about his views on sexual morality, Justice Scalia surprised his audience at Harvard University, telling them: "I even take the position that sexual orgies eliminate social tensions and ought to be encouraged."

15. Grub around meth labs or watch porn on the internet?
It's a no brainer.

Of course the FBI is concerned about adult pornography. Hell I'd love to trade my job for one that paid 60K a year with full benefits for one where the job description is "screen internet porn for obscenity."

Who's the idiot that's stupid enough to pay for it?
