3. If it's out there, it's because someone in the Libby camp wants it out.

6. What is Libby hoping to accomplish by leaking it?

7. Curry sympathy?
Tweety and the toesnag woman are spreading some anti-Fitzgerald propaganda. Who knows if this is part of the counter-attack?

Fitzgerald has kept a tight lid on his investigation up to now. Why would he start leaking at this point?

8. He has kept it tight when it needed to be, loosen the valve a bit
when he needs to apply some pressure somehow, make some someone nervous? I do not know all the details enough to know the psychological ramifications of the released letter.

Maybe Libby using it for the same reason, not just sympathy, but trying to intimidate someone else, or cast suspicion on others?

This is going to get complicated and ugly?
And at this point it is a battle or wit and nerves, not just the law?

11. The longer Fitzgerald delays the indictment, the more these
smears will continue.

16. I think he has enough, but that this thing is huge and may be
connected to other scandals. Consider the possibilities:

Did Judith Miller inadvertently say something to someone that caused David Kelley's suicide?

Were the elections stolen in order to pursue the PNAC goals?

Is there a connection between this conspiracy and the Franklin - AIPAC scandal?

Why would Patrick Fitzgerald delay? Maybe he's trying to locate the moles within our government that may also be acting as spies and using our twiddley dum WHIGgers for their own goals?

18. Exactly. Who knows where this has taken him?
And yes I think in may be quite convoluted and take a while to connect the dots.

19. Let them "smear" away. It's like telling the cop "I pay your salary"
It doesn't get you out of being arrested, has exactly zero impact on the evidence he has against you and on the outcome of the trial, and just pisses him off and gives him incentive to find something else to nail you for, or to smack you around a bit more as he tosses you in the back of the squad car.

Go on scooter and karl, kick and scream and hit back and see where it gets you.

5. Interesting that when describing Libby's testimony Fitzgerald made no
mention of Libby testifying about any communication with Miller prior to Wilson's op-ed appearing in the paper. Sounds like Scooter might have left that out.
