NATIONAL SECURITY --

ROVE 'ENGAGED IN FURIOUS EFFORT' TO AVOID PERJURY CHARGES:

Karl Rove's legal team "has been engaged in a furious effort to convince the prosecutor that Rove did not commit perjury during the course of the investigation," according to the Washington Post. "The sources, who indicated that the effort intensified in recent weeks, said Rove still did not know last night whether he would be indicted." Last night, Time magazine reporter Mike Allen, who "has some of the best sources in Washington," said that some indictments may have already been voted upon. "A likely scenario for what happened today, Patrick Fitzgerald got some indictments from this grand jury," he said on MSNBC's Hardball. "What I’m told is typical, in a case like this, he could get the indictments and now he can go to the targets and say, you can plead to these or I’ll go back Friday and get more. You have 12 to 24 hours to think about it."

11. As someone said on another thread the dems should photograph
supporters of DeLay with hammer pins and then run the photos when they are up for re-election.

The Hammer I think the Dems should wear:

Oye Oye Oye

People should read the cited article (in post #10) as entertainment only.

There's likely not one shred of fact in it.

12. Gee, this sounds like Rove wants to try the case w/o a judge and jury
If I were Fitz, I would say to Rove, "You had your chance to tell the truth in front of the grand jury. The time to argue the issue has come and gone. Save your arguments for the jury."

15. He'll make a deal.
It's almost guaranteed I think. All he has to do is cooperate, the others will fall, and all he will get is a slap on the wrist. If he is smart, then he will do this.
