Dr. Spongebob Squarepants Dobson Blames Casinos, NOT Republicans
James Dobson: "If the nation’s politicians don’t fix this national disaster, then the oceans of gambling money with which Jack Abramoff tried to buy influence on Capitol Hill will only be the beginning of the corruption we’ll see. Some religious leaders want new ethics rules for Congress, but that’s only a band-aid fix. Politicians need to root out this infection. Gambling – all types of gambling – is driven by greed and subsists on greed. That makes it morally bankrupt from its very foundation. Gambling creates addicts, breeds crime and destroys families. We need courageous office holders who will begin the process of shutting down lotteries, casinos and other gambling outlets."

1. "Tried to buy influence"??
While I am no fan of gambling and I feel the almost universal laws against gambling from a hundred years ago were in force for some very good reasons, this soft soap just doesn't wash. These people, and a lot of them do not suspect themselves, are crooks, by nature preying on the weak and gullible.
Their level of crookedness is merely exacerbated by the circumstances.

2. At least casinos pay taxes...
Dobson and his ilk are driven by greed and subsist on greed, always begging and whining for donations, yet they are not taxed because they are "religious."

3. All except church bingo..........
that money goes to "The Lord" and is not covered under the "gambling is evil" umbrella! :eyes:

These religious con-men are upset that someone else is taking money out of their pockets. How many Ernest Angley's, Bennie Hinn's and Pat Robertson's et al. are conning the old and sick out of their money every day, promising them that they'll get a special seat "at the lord's table" when they get to heaven?

Fuck these swine. They're the biggest parasites on the planet.

4. Tell it to to his friend "Smokin" Bill Bennett
I am sure that bloated tick could set him straight on the Virtues of Gambling. If not him, then maybe his Dominatrix could.
