Toensing offered false defense of Bush's warrantless surveillance program
Jan 20, 2006

Summary: In a Wall Street Journal op-ed, Republican attorney and former Reagan Justice Department official Victoria Toensing offered a variety of falsehoods in defending the Bush administration's warrantless domestic surveillance program.

In a January 19 Wall Street Journal op-ed (subscription required), Republican attorney and former Reagan Justice Department official Victoria Toensing offered a number of falsehoods in defending the Bush administration's warrantless domestic surveillance program. In attempting to justify the Bush administration's circumvention of the 1978 Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which the surveillance program appears to have violated, Toensing falsely claimed that congressional Democrats "supported" the program prior to its public disclosure and repeated the false claim that, in 1995, the Clinton administration erected "the wall" between intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

2. Toensing and her husband "jumpy" Joseph E. DiGenova are two of
the Repubelickin' Party's more reliable sluts-for-hire.

While Vickie is the more pleasant of two, they are both equally full of bullshit and deceit, couched in legal sounding crapola.

Media Matters is an online gem.

Recommended.

5. I like to think of him as a Ball Park frank..
...ever since the night when he puffed up in a red rage on Geraldo's show.

7. Did he do that on Geraldo?
Because he did it a few years ago on "Hardball" too. I'll never forget his melt-down wrapped in a manic hissy-fit.

He appeared to be genuinely nuts as he sputtered about how "sick of it all" he was. I guess there wasn't enough Repub corruption moving fast enough for him at the time.

Well, he should be as happy as a rat at the bottom of the Walton family's outhouse these days.

I hope all Right-Wing crappenmeisters will "plump when you cook 'em" in the long days ahead of us.

3. Victoria's necklaces(chokers) have blocked the blood
to her diseased brain. Her husband is in an advanced stage of syphilis.

6. So, it's okay to break the law if Democrats in Congress support you?
What manner of shit be this? And will Little Vickie offer it as a defense on her own behalf?

"Absolutely without merit" doesn't just describe Faux News and Bill O'Reilly.
