Rush Hannity Insanity- My Trip through no man's land |
|
I was driving through PA and Ohio and decided to see what was on talk radio... my mistake. There was atleast 5 channels that the same Rush Limbaugh bs and 2 with Hannity on it.
Are these guys serious? Hannity had something on the promo that said something to the effect of he likes to piss off Liberals...
No wonder why some people voted for Bush, if you had to listen to 5 channels of Rush and 2 channels of Hannity, of course you would get brain washed or brain damaged.
These guys are total freaks! I could not believe what they stood for.... then I switched back to FM...

They are Nothing More than Chickehawk Lying Shills of the RNC. Why don't they take the worthless ass over to Iraq and pick up a gun. Or better yet encourage Hannity to sign up his kids for the military.

2. Why in the world would so many stations be airing the same thing |
|
if they are interested in their bottom line? To my mind, this shows that they aren't interested in business but in spreading propaganda. Otherwise more stations would be playing progressive talk radio, because half the nation voted Democratic in the last two elections. Can't tell it by progressive representation on the airwaves.

6. Randi talked about this friday. Clear Channel wanted to |
|
hire her, but Rush said he'd walk. Apparently he brings in big bucks to Clear Channel, and she was unproven. They had to decline to hire her. She likes the guys at Clear Channel and understands their predicament.
How many of the seven channels were owned by the same outfit?

9. But if all seven stations are Clear Channel |
|
it wouldn't make business sense to run the same seven formats - that's diluting the audience. It would make more business sense to have one be talk radio, one be sports, one oldies, one country, one contemporary, one religous, and one progressive talk. I've been told that some stations carrying AAR are owned by Clear Channel, but don't know for sure. But anyway, any sane businessman who had seven radio stations in a given market would be nuts to have them all be conservative talk, because he won't get as much for his ads. So if these stations are all owned by the same company, something other than the bottom line must be influencing their choice of programming.

10. Randi address this. It's all bottom line. They wanted her, but |
|
Rush was a proven. If he walked, there would go 14 billion, I think she said. Randi was unproven. They were not willing to bet the whole ball of wax.

3. And thank Bill Clinton for that |
|
Not only did his FCC fail to take regulatory action to reinstate the fairness doctrine and other provisions that could have added diversity of views back into radio- he actually signed a Bill allowing unprecedented consolidation of radio. To the point where it's no longer worth listening to in most communities.
Randi Rhodes actually told him at the time words to the effect that "wow, you sure must want to be in the minority party for a long time...."

but I figured I would catch up on some local traffic and weather. Getting back to one of the questions asked, I'm not sure who owns the stations, but I hit search and before the scan went around the dial, Rush came up atleast 5 times, it could have been more but I just hitting scan again.
I was going to bring up one of the topics Rush brought up but between the driving and lack of sleep, I totally forgot. I'm just amazed how far to the right they are. I don't agree with everything that is said here or by other democrats/libs but I was just amazed how both of them are so far up the right... I'm not sure they will ever get out :-)
