worst case scenario 60 minutes---
Apparently 60 minutes aired a segment yesterday which I missed but read about

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/01/27/60minutes/main1245714.shtml

This is another blunder just waiting to happen by the Bush administration such as Katrina---

In my estimation, this is worse---it just underscores this administrations total incompetency with

the publics safety----I wonder what Bushes response will be if this every happens---hey such and such is doing a heck of a job---

said from his bunker underground---

1. It Ain't Gonna Happen--But If It Did, We'd Get the Usual WH Response
Can you say Katrina?

It wouldn't take much, as far as casualties or damage to cause mass hysteria and it would be so convenient to declare martial law and turn the whole US into one police state. As tragic as it sounds and I'm not trying to be insensitive, but 9/11 was the best thing that ever could have happened to the Bush administration as far as making a case for war against Iraq and spying on Americans. Even though Iraq had nothing to do with it in the first place.
I can see it now: "see, we told those democrats we needed Google and Yahoo's search records so we could keep America safe", "now look what happened because of them".

3. 60 Minutes was quite good with the other story also. Think Rush
A guy is doing hard time (40 years?) for getting prescription pain killers to help him fight back pain. They accused him of distribution. Welcome to Right Wing World. Only Rush Limbaugh gets the breaks.

4. No kidding...
I said to my hubby "Then why is Noelle Bush or Rush Limpballs still running around free." I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Peace.

I kept screaming, "Why isn't Limbaugh in there?" Same state, no? Florida.

5. not incompetence. indifference. they are supremely competent if
the issue is

-covering up scandels and distorting information
-politicizing and slandering
-stealing from the poor to benefit the rich
-making sure the rich, powerful and corporate can act with impunity
-corrupting the integrity of the courts
-stealing elections

and so on....
For this they have competence and a never ending energetic eagerness. For all else, nothing.
