OneMillionDads.com, is a website whose goal is:
"...to stop the exploitation of our children, especially by the entertainment media (TV, music, movies, etc.). Dad, OneMillionDads.com is the most powerful tool you have to stand against the immorality, violence, vulgarity and profanity the entertainment media is throwing at your children. It is time to fight back!"
And how will OneMillionDads fight back against the exploitation of children in the media?
Ask that the networks tone down violence?
No.
Demand that more educational programming be broadcast?
No.
Educate parents about the effect corporate advertising has on children?
No.
Boycott Johnson & Johnson because they ran an advertisement for TylenolPM in a magazine whose target market is gays and lesbians?
YES!!!!!!
Behold the offensive ad:
Ads like this clearly hurt kids.
Never mind that this ad only ran in the gay-issues magazine The Advocate. Your child might pick up a copy, see the image and think: "Wow! Gay men get backaches! Just like my dad does when he comes home drunk... therefore, my DAD MUST BE GAY!!!"
Since your tyke wants to be just like his father, he'll start listening to Barbara Streisand and redecorate the bedroom. Other kids will come to him for fashion advice, and girls won't mind undressing in front of him.
The horror!
Never fear. You can call Johnson & Johnson and tell them that you object to images of gay men in bed with backaches. This will prevent another blow to Christian values from the homosexual agenda. (Pun intended.)
Just remember: When you call them, be like the gay men in the picture: Kind, but firm.
Oh, so very very firm.
