2. Spengler's prejudice against Americans is showing
Thank you for posting this. It's always good to read this stuff, but frankly I think but his contentions are
extreme and his assertions are off-the-mark.

I have a passport and I speak a language other than English. Only 1% of *any* population *ever* leaves the
country of their birth. There are more subtle types of cultural integration. For one thing, I live in a
world community in Los Angeles.

The purported opinions of Iran are one thing. Polls show similar opinions in Europe regarding Iran -- we're
hardly alone in that. Americans are, however, extremely slow to go to war (prior to the Idiot King) and have
to be "manipulated" into approval. That said, 82% suspect the government is covering up information on 9/11.
As much as we don't trust Iran, we don't trust this administration either.

7. Mark Crispin Miller
Mr. Miller was on CSpan last night, and he's convinced that Bush has plans to invade Iran. But Mr. Miller was not convinced that Bush would invade for political reasons, but for religious reasons and that's what bother me.

Any opinions on Bush's reasons for the Iran invasion? How about what may have to be done to rally the american people to support such an venture?

9. There's no reason Bush could come up with
Short of a fake attack against the US and *that* wouldn't work -- again. (ahem)

If he does attack Iran, it's a lose-lose situation for him and he knows it. That's why
he has waited this long.

3. but we really didn't rally around this
"war-time president" in 2004, at least if you believe ohio was stolen. i'm not so sure at all that would work for him or the pukes again if he loses the last remnants of his mind and attacks iran.

4. My repuke mother is down on boosh right now,
but if he were to nuke Iran, he would be redeemed in her eyes. She would be behind him stronger than ever. She is totally with the "You mess with the bull you get the horns" mind-set.

5. Yeah, here's my favorite quote:
"Americans rally behind a wartime leader; the one exception was Vietnam."

That's one hell of an exception isn't it? Especially considering how closely Iraq is coming to resemble Vietnam?

10. Don't bet on it. There are many in this country who believe to this
day that we lost Vietnam because we DIDN'T use nukes.

He'll have his 30%, regardless.
