Roberts :lashed out Friday at democrats (inquiry cancelled)
The Wichita Eagle | 11/08/2003 | Roberts fires back at Democrats

http://www.kansas.com/mld/kansas/news/local/7211304.htm

BY ALAN BJERGA
Eagle Washington bureau

"Until this reprehensible attack plan and strategy to derail this committee's important work is addressed, I'm afraid it will be impossible to return to business as usual," Roberts said on the Senate floor.

"Numerous questions have been raised" about how Bush may have manipulated intelligence data to lead the nation to war, said Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev. But Roberts has "rejected" any questioning leading in that direction, he said.

But that view is being drowned out in many media outlets as conservative talk radio shows and the editorial pages of the Wall Street Journal, Washington Times and other publications -- plus dozens of Republican lawmakers -- have weighed in against what's being called "memogate."

On Friday, the Journal said in an editorial that until Democrats fired whoever wrote the memo, the Intelligence Committee should be "shut down, cleaned out and reconstituted later, preferably after the next election."

1. He says, "preferably after the next election"
At what point should we assume that they've utterly violated and annulled their end of the so-called 'social contract'?

What shall we do then?

2. Memo
How do they know that this memo was not written by a Republican in order to create an incident that would furnish an excuse for the Intelligence Committee not pursuing its inquiries? This seems like a set-up.

3. Republicans are Cowards
they know the truth is not in the interest of *Bush so they are refusing to do their jobs that's what the people should be outraged about.

Someone in the majority rooted in a trashcan or broke into someones computer to even get the memo, right? If they where really concerned about this why didn't they handle it among theirselves instead of leaking it to the public?

If I was Senator Rockefeller, I'd demand they tell who it was that Stole the memo and leaked it, seems to me that's the person that needs to be fired not the person who wrote it! What else will that person leak? Also, who knew about the memo in the Intelligence committee on the majority sidebefore it was leaked? Did Senator Roberts, give that person the nod to leak it? Why wouldn't that person go to Senator Roberts, if this was oh so important before they leaked it....hummmmm?
Turn it on them Democrats!! Turn it on them!! I would not let the Republicans get away with this it's a diversion away from the truth and I would tell the people of this country just that in no uncertain language!

I would be amazed if I didn't already know what hypocrites Republicans are. What a twisted way of thinking.... a memo being found and leaked from someone on their side somehow helps their case (not that they have one) what idiots and if democrats back off on this one they are too! To me it only makes the Republicans look desperate and afraid of the truth coming out because it's bad for their boy *Bush!
They have something to hide that's what it is they have something to hide!
They know that if the truth comes out about their Boy Bush* Republicans are going to lose their seats in the Senate and in the Congress!
