WHY RUMSFELD WILL NOT RESIGN
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_allen_l__060414_why_rumsfeld_will_no.htm

The reason Rumsfeld will not resign is because this is a Cheney/Rumsfeld war and Rumsfeld will not go until Cheney is either indicted or impeached.

To understand our very dangerous current situation in Washington, D.C. ~ you must realize that this country is being run by a cabal of five people ~ The Gang of Five. Dick Cheney is the main man ( everything begins with and goes through Cheney ) The recent Plamegate leak findings confirm this White house scenario. Donald Rumsfeld is the military arm of Cheney's grand neo-con agenda. The Generals hate him because Iraq is not being conducted as a military campaign ~ Instead, it's a cold and blatant political campaign which has sacrified many lives for its questionable neo-con objectives.

George W Bush is the front man or cheer leader for the Cheney/Rumsfeld action agenda ~ and, as such, is purposely left out of many key decisions inorder to maintain a sense of oblivious innocence or disengagement from the abuses of power all around him. Condi Rice is the velvet glove for the Cheney/Rumsfeld agenda who is also beholden to Cheney ~ who paved the way for her position at State.
John Bolton is the enforcer ~ the Republican bully and stooge whose job is to intimidate the United nations toward the Cheney/Rumsfeld way of thinking.

All of them have blood on their hands and all answer to Cheney.

So how do we bring down this neo-con cabal ~ whose self-serving agenda is totally out of sync with what most Americans desire ?

You bite off the head of this poisonous snake ~ which is Dick Cheney.

And when Cheney is either impeached or indicted ~ the rest of it will fall apart and the most corrupt Administration in our nation's history will finally be revealed for the world to see.

1. Yes, they all answer to Cheney. All roads (and screwed up situations)
lead directly to the man who, when told to find a VP for bush by Poopy, appointed himself. The man who has made billions out of all the misery they've caused.

What an American Patriot. :sarcasm:

3. they are in fact a gang....

Under normal circumstances a president oversees an administration in which cabinet members hold their posts at his discretion, and depending upon their performance, political loyalty, and so on. Too many failures lead to replacement just like on any other management team.

That expectation doesn't hold in shrub's administration because the main cabinet members do not serve at his discretion alone-- they hold their posts because they are all insiders in a group that transcends the usual management objectives of the executive branch, in effect members of a conspiracy united by their shared political alliegences rather than by their service at the behest of the executive. That's why they shuffle posts rather than coming and going. Unless Rumsfeld chooses to resign, chimpy cannot demand his resignation without betraying the conspiracy they all serve. Likewise Cheney will not be thrown to the wolves and will only resign if forced out by criminal proceedings.

6. Cheney's very existence in Washington proves a complicite RW media
Just thirty seconds with Google will provide you with a day's worth of reading about Cheney, and virtually none of it is good. The man has been a criminal from the get-go, and his every move in every business and everything he's ever done has been centered around his quest for more power and more money. He IS the personification of evil, and if there had been one ounce of honesty and impartiality in the corporate media, he never would have even been allowed on the Republican ticket in 2000. The man simply never has done ANYTHING good for his country. He is a pox.

10. It's true, Bush does not have the power to dismiss Rumsfeld.
Only Cheney does. He is the real seat of power. All answer to him.

However, there are 2 extremely important dynamics which are happening at this moment.

Point #1, and most important: This is the Military we're talking about here. This is not the teacher's association. Without the support of the military, there is no war in Iraq or Afghanistan. Cheney loses completely. The generals are very clear about this: it's not just the retired generals, but the entire military which is fed up with Rumsfeld. Something has to happen, and it needs to happen quickly. Think of Captain Bligh (Mutiny on the Bounty). His entire crew has just turned on him.

Point #2: Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld are sinking together. These are old friends who have been together since the 70's. THEY are the ones who hijacked the United States and sent it careening out of control.

Dick Cheney's poll numbers are a disaster. There is no way he can rescue himself at this point. No matter what he does, they hover around 17% approval rating. That's probably why he hides out. This week, Cheney threw the 1st pitch of a baseball game. He was booed relentlessly. The shooting accident didn't help matters.

So in a sense, Mr. Roland is right. It's not about Rumsfailed. It's about Cheney. But he's taking on water -- fast.
