Would love to read it but I do not subscribe. Glad to see it though

In This E-Mail:

....
"It began to occur to me that I did not want to be in the ground covered with weeds and whatnot and totally forgotten. I don't like the idea of dirt being dumped on me. "
ED PECK, who purchased a mausoleum at a cemetery in Daytona Beach, Fla.

The invasion of Iraq was not about terror. It was about oil and schoolboy fantasies of empire and whatever weird oedipal dynamics were at work in the Bush family.

2. George Bush can fuck up anything.
They could have had the greatest military minds of all time planning the thing and with George Bush involved, it would become fucked up.

It sure as hell didn't work.

7. even democrats won't touch it--won't go beyond outlining lies but
won't say or even ask what the real reasons were.

They wouldn't even answer when Cindy Sheehan asked.

5. Correct...
George W Bush could not find oil in Texas during the boom years..

I have a comment about the picture in your sig line...George Bush is not the only politician who said he wanted to hunt down his enemies and kill them...I seem to recall a certain 2004 Democratic presidential candidate who said he wanted to hunt down all the terrorists and kill them as well. I guess John Kerry is also not Christ like.

3. Exxon just surpassed Walmart as the most profitable business.
I'd say it worked just fine for them. The invasion of Iraq was never meant to provide you or me with cheap oil, it was meant to provide cheap oil for the multinational oil conglomerates and that's exactly what happened. The oil companies have been able to produce oil for less and charge much more. In a country that actually cared about its citizens the directors of these companies would be in jail by now. In bush's* amurka they go before a congressional committee that practically begs them to lie by refusing to swear them in.

Yeah, I'd say it worked just like they planned.

12. Exxon executive pay surpasses Croesus
There's really no justification for paying any human being this kind of salary:

For Leading Exxon to Its Riches, $144,573 a Day

(and that's over 13 years!!)

For 13 years as chairman and chief executive, Lee R. Raymond propelled Exxon, the successor to John D. Rockefeller's Standard Oil Trust, to the pinnacle of the oil world.

For his efforts, Mr. Raymond, who retired in December, was compensated more than $686 million from 1993 to 2005, according to an analysis done for The New York Times by Brian Foley, an independent compensation consultant. That is $144,573 for each day he spent leading Exxon's "God pod," as the executive suite at the company's headquarters in Irving, Tex., is known.

9. When will Democrats have the courage to state this obvious truth?
The longer they wait, the less respect they show for us and democracy, and the more it looks like they want to be the next oil company courtesan after the GOP finishes their self-immolation.

15. Pass it on!
I've already posted the toppleBush link at one "moderate" blog... resulting in the predictable swarming behavior of wingnut apologists. Such fun! I like to think the more open minded people there will read it and spread the link themselves... a viral e-pandemic of the finest order!!
