1. speak for the rest of us
The tragedy in all this - and it's as Greek as it gets (Sophocles would have known what to do with this guy) - is, obviously, not Lay's death, and as tragic as the loss is for the thousands and employees and stock holders, and it's prodigious, it's not the worst part, not the Greek part.

The worst part of all this is there never was, nor will there ever be, any outrage from his peers, from his pal, the president. He was just good ol' Kenny Boy, doing what they all do. They'll speak fondly of him at his funeral, they'll laud him, they'll speak like Antony over teh dead body of Brutus - thieving pig f-----s take care of their own.

So I'll speak for the rest of us; those without private jets, those without presidential cell-phone numbers, those without spigots for money. I'll speak for those with a conscience.

Ken Lay is dead.

Huzzah. Huzzah.

3. In the eulogy.....
there is no "outrage"........At the time of the great collapse when we became vaguely aware of what was happening to the people who had been sucked into Lay's antics, I wondered why we didn't hear, and never really have, of the mass implications of Enron's collapse. Where were (are) the personal stories---the up close and personal kind the press favors when they choose to do so.

4. Kenny Boy
Funny life choices this son of a minister who earned a PHD in economics made, isn't it?

I hope he goes down in history as one of the main symbols of the heartless cutthroat ruined-thousands-of-lives greed that is emblematic of this current rotten to the core Godless Administration.
