Senator Lieberman has just blackmailed the Democrats of Connecticut.

by Esbe

It was once said by George W. Bush that he understood that he was "betting his presidency on Iraq". Fundamentally appointed rather than elected for a second time, He managed through innumerable lies, vote fraud, the corrupt assistance of a one party government, and last -but not least- their gutless, corrupt enablers in the Democratic party, Mr. Bush managed to escape paying out on what was almost immediately shown to be a losing bet; He was appointed a second time But the time is finally coming when some of the people responsible for enabling this ruinous, murderous, illegal war of aggression, and it's accompanying abuses of power and usurpation of our freedoms, can be held accountable. The people who were supposed to know better, who probably did, but who placed a higher value on political expediency than the country and constitution. Mr. Lieberman was the worst of the bunch; he repeatedly and knowingly enabled George W. Bush to damage our country beyond repair.

1. I'd rather lose the seat to the GOP than have Lieberman re-elected
His constant defense of Bush does much more damage to the party than he's worth.

Better some GOP pinhead who will likely lose in 6 years than another 6 years of Lieberman providing cover for the GOP.

2. I'm Forced To Agree!
I hadn't thought of it quite that way before but we would be better off with a puke in there than Lieberman the DINO.

4. Maybe the grassroots will grow a pair
Lieberman needs to be kicked and kicked quickly so that the rest of the party will realize how much the people of the country hate the Iraq war. Heck, I'm at the point where I don't even care what happens in Iraq. Immediate withdrawal, abandon weapons, tanks, whatnots, just up and go. I'm sure the military could airlift 120,000 people out of Iraq in under a week if they really had to. Dunkirk was pretty much that.

6. when will people start throwing fruit at him in public? Make sure it's
rotten so you don't hurt him. That would be wrong.

7. Well, yes.
That was obvious less than a minute after he said he'd run as an independent.

His polling would either say he'd win (given current stats) or split the vote so as to have an effective deterrent, probably coming in third.

He'd also split the republican vote, however; more would be willing to vote for Lieberman than Lamont.
