TRUE LIES AND OBSCENITIES: CLINTON 'SUCKS UP' TO LIEBERMAN |
|
In a case of the ultimate role reversal, it was Bill Clinton today who got down on his knees, in order to orally “prop up” and suck up to Joe Lieberman.
Clinton, clad in a blue suit, which was stained just by virtue of campaigning for Lieberman, had set the mood for the meeting by previously sending Lieberman his favorite book on Iraq, Leaves of Morass.
Lieberman, an orthodox Jew and avatar of morality, denied having “political relations with that man, Mr. Clinton,” since it was Clinton who did all the work while Lieberman remained passive.
Clinton, heavily criticized for endorsing the pro-war Lieberman, refused to concede that that is what he did, claiming it all depends on what the meaning of “endorse” is, since he reserved the right to back Lamont if he should win the Democratic primary.
Liberal bloggers were unanimous, however, in saying that Clinton’s “behavior is not just inappropriate, it is immoral.”
This latest development has also “aroused” the interest of former Special Prosecutor Ken Starr, who maintains that this is not the first time that Clinton has gotten entangled with a Jewish Bush.

2. I am a liberal and a democrat |

I don't think Clinton did the wrong thing. Lieberman was a staunch democrat and just thinks the wrong way now. No reason to throw him under the bus. If he loses the primary then you let him go. I would not support the independent route. Neither will Bill Clinton. You don't throw goodwill given to you away just because you differ on a strategy. I am afraid that some of my liberal partners are going a little too far.

At this stage Clinton can help Joe. But when Joe lose and try running as Independent. Ooops Joe didnt you know Clinton going to be the bus driver.
It is all politic. Boxer can help Joe cause she can weather the storm of an unpopular move So can Clinton.
As least he can not say that the Democrat representatives throw him under the bus. Gee if I were him I be very careful cause the 2 of them can sink him like a rock if he goes the independent route.
My view is Lamont win. Boxer and Clinton just trying to make it look like he not being thrown under a bus  Big Shit need Almighty Chief. Chief that can afford to mess around with BIG SHIT. I think the above 2 is politically immune to BIG SHIT. Others wheee no going near.

5. Folie aux Deux (Pardon my French) |

Both Clinton and Lieberman are sadly, tragically, wrong-headed. Clinton should have maintained a retired-presidential distance from the fray and never gotten involved in any primary. Lieberman should accept the will of the people and get over himself. He made his choices, and now he has to live with the results. Clinton can't save him; Clinton can only lose what's left of his reputation and queer the pitch for his demonstrably clueless wife's future.
