Joe Lieberman, who really abandoned whom?
Joseph Lieberman's unwavering support for the war and his silence on hot-button issues surrounding the Bush administration resonated negatively with Connecticut voters.

(snip)

While some Republicans are distancing themselves from President Bush these days, Lieberman has been slow to take the hint. Lieberman not only supported the war in Iraq, but through op-eds and speeches, he became one of its biggest promoters.

It wasn't just Lieberman's support for the war that cost him the primary nomination. Other Democrats have endorsed the president's decision to invade Iraq as part of the global war on terror. Many Democrats in Congress believe in a strong defense.

Lieberman still didn't get the hint Tuesday when 52 percent of the Democratic voters put Lamont in the lead. Instead of respecting the voters' choice, Lieberman followed through with his backup plan to be on the November ballot as an independent.

1. He didn't do anything for the average person
We had a decent bankruptcy bill. The bankers and their lobbyists came up with one that I heard was several hundred pages and it makes it more expensive and almost impossible to go bankrupt.

There are times when people can't pay their bills. Huge medical bills, the death of a spouse, loss of a job or divorce are some of the reasons. Most who file will be lucky to get reduced payments for many years. This at a time when we are told that we will have $300,000 medical cost out of pocket after retirement. If you take total bankruptcy, they take your home if it is valued over $3000 in our state. Correct me if I am wrong on any of this, but this is the way I understand it.

Joe did vote against the bankruptcy bill. What he doesn't mention is that he voted for cloture which stopped the debate which made it more likely to pass.

The voters are not getting a fair deal or honest deal. It is sickening how dumb Joe and his ilk think we are. They think they are so smart and look what a mess they have made out of our country and the world.

His refusal to leave is the Bushite attitude that only they know what to do. They are so wrong. It wouldn't surprise me if the republicans don't declare an emergency so they can stay on, if they are not elected again.
