GIS Drop Smart Bomb on Kerry ("Halp us Jon Carry - We R stuck hear n Irak")

GIS DROP SMART BOMB ON KERRY
HILARIOUS HEROES FIRE BACK OVER DEM AND DUMBER CRACK ABOUT IRAQ

November 2, 2006 -- WASHINGTON - A group of GIs showed they are smart enough to take on condescending Sen. John Kerry - by deploying a hilariously misspelled sign mocking the failed presidential candidate's comments about their education.

"Halp us Jon Carry - We R stuck hear n Irak," read the sign, which was apparently the brainchild of a group of service members from the Minnesota National Guard.

The picture was first revealed yesterday on the blog Web site of Milwaukee talk radio host Charlie Sykes, who said he got it from a listener who had a buddy in the unit.

...

Without citing sources, ABC News in Washington said the photograph was taken in Talil, several hundred miles south of Baghdad, where members of the unit are located.

By the end of the day, the shot was burning up the Internet - and was the most stinging rebuke to Kerry's knuckleheaded flub.

9. After 3 tours in Iraq getting shot at every day, a lot of people won't be ready for school
That has nothing to do with anybody's intelligence, it has to do with war making you insane and unable to transition into academic life.

23. Yeah, my MIL was just ecstatic that her SIL was going to get
his wisdom teeth pulled and braces on his teeth courtesy of the Army. She boasted "and it's not gonna cost him a thing!". Hubby and I both said at the same time "except maybe his life for an illegal and immoral war". Obviously, we don't talk much about politics or the war with my in-laws.

Oh well - Hillary and Kerry will share a stage for ten debates and will hash it all out, and all will be well.

Nice. Go ahead, soldiers ... Embrace the lies of the GOP chickenhawks who PUT you in Iraq, based on more lies -- in order to secure a bunch of oil fields.

Real nice, troops. Turn on a decorated war veteran who dodged bullets, like you are now, to save people on his Swiftboat. Turn on the man who's working to make sure you get the equipment you need and the benefits you need as veterans when you return.

Maybe Kerry should just stop helping military families, if the troops are gonna turn on him over a couple of missed words in his reading of a script.

"I support the troops," but this crew is a bunch of deluded ASSHOLES!

28. So, they are having fun & don't mind being in Iraq after all???
If that is what they are saying - great!

Let them find some fellow soldiers who really want to get the FUCK OUT OF THERE, and take over their post.

Glad to see their steady diet of Rush Limbaugh and copious free time allows them to paint banners like high school cheerleaders to take potshots at the real enemy - American Democrats trying to get them home.

I feel real uncharitable about this group - I'd love to hear wtf is going on in their pointy little heads, you know, if they ever actually come home.

Meanwhile, I may just take the day off from all my political activities in working to end this insane war. It seems pointless.

I or "we" didn't fucking send them anywhere - their CIC did, and he intends to keep them there INDEFINITELY.
So, take it up with their fucking boss.

And if they are having such great fun, making banners deriding the only people to actually want to help them, well, fuck them.

I'm fighting for the troops who actually want to get the hell out of that nightmare.
The troops in that picture can keep cranking out all the amusing banners they want. Forever.

on my way home from work (I work night shift in a computer chip factory), what if Kerry went over and met these guys, brought along some good food from home, and accepted the banner as a gift from them? Being able to show humility works wonders with the American public, and if he shows he can take a joke, it will go far to redeem him in a lot of eyes. Just a stray thought.

I thought Kerry was RIGHT when I heard it as "study or may have no other options than the military." Being stuck in Iraq is no joke; it tends to maim and kill a high percentage of people who go there.

Oh, and the war is illgal, violates certain treaties, unconstitutional, and involves participation in war crimes. Yah, you're stuck all right.

42. I've stayed out of this whole topic. But I have to say that
the soldiers mocking Kerry aren't doing themselves any favors by portraying to everyone that they are in Iraq because they consciously, intelligently, and personally made the decision to be in Iraq for tour after extended tour and this AFTER it became obvious that the whole WMD's thing was a crock of shit.

Any sympathy Americans started to have for the troops who are literally "stuck" over in Iraq just went down the drain...."oh, well, I guess they WANT to be there."

They should have seized the opportunity this presented and used it to their advantage rather than to their disadvantage.

Apparently they DO want to be there. Well lucky for them, then. Because the oil tycoon-in-chief that they're serving has no plans to bring them home.

Have a good time, boys. We'll see you back here once the Democrats finally get a voice in the government. In the meantime, you might want to stop feigning insult where there was none and use your minute in the spotlight to bring attention to something that could have a productive outcome to your benefit. But whatever.

suggesting that officers were involved. That being said, these weren't a bunch of average joes, these guys have enough rank that they probably do want to stay as they aren't really in harms way and they are making buku tax free combat pay while deployed. These guys have never and probably would never otherwise make this kind of money so it's not surprising they want to shut down the party the questions the fiscal realities of this war.

If they engaged in partisan activity against Bush a.) while on duty and b.) while wearing the official military uniform, they would surely be pulling some extra duty at the very least.

while wearing the US uniform and while on duty. No federal employee is and, if they studied harder in school, they would have known that. They are breaking a federal law, and; what's more, if they were coming out in support of Kerry, they would undoubtedly be punished.

Even if it was done with partisan motive, they're in Iraq, susceptible to being blown to bits at a moment's notice -- they need a chance to have a laugh. Hopefully, later on they'll appreciate Kerry's efforts on their behalf, ie. fighting to increase their benefits, salaries, medical care, etc., and any and all animosity (if there is any; there might not be any) will cease to exist.

56. Well, it IS said that war is months of boredom punctuated by monments
of terror. There probably are long stretches where they're bored out of their skulls.

But I swear the armed forces all too often act like the Dear Leader's (and the Rethugs' in general) abused girlfriend. Their loyalty to the gang that's shafted them is both touching and baffling.
