Too bad there isn't time before global warming, peak oil, economic collapse, etc., etc., etc., send society into a violent anarchic bloodbath shootout tailspin. (Maybe I'm wrong. I always hope I'm wrong.)

1. Excellent!
In the days that unions prospered, so did the middle class. And employees of competitive industries that weren't unionized benefited, too, because salaries are generally kept at a competitive rate.
