Newspapers That Once Called Upon Clinton To Resign Are Silent On Bush
"Has the President so failed in his duties to the nation that he should leave office? The answer to that question is yes, and the time for the President to leave is not after months of continued national embarrassment but now. Clinton should resign."
---USA Today editorial, Sept. 15, 1998

(snip)
Today, America is saddled with an unbelievably corrupt occupant in the White House. Bush is guilty of a long list of serious crimes, from embracing torture as official state policy to illegal wiretaps to lying America into a war that has turned out to be the biggest strategic blunder in U.S. history.

And what's the U.S. media's reaction to all this? (You know, the same "liberal media" that was screaming and hollering for Clinton to resign for lying about a blow job?)

Silence.

4. To be fair, if Clinton resigned we would have had Gore.
If Bush resigns, we get Satan.

7. Like we don't already have Satin?
Give me a break. G. W. Bush no more runs this country than I do. He's just a front man for the oiligarchs. Do you really think they consult him about anything? Everything that has happened has happened because someone else wanted it to happen and has used the office of the president through the puppet in chief.

11. I'd rather have linen than satin.
And that's the flax.

6. Gutless, Shameless Corporate Courtiers
The corporate media are displaying their usual behavior towards Gee Dubya. They've spent nearly six years with their noses and tongues between Gee Dubya's cheeks (The cheeks found under his boxer shorts), and the corporate media still unctuously states that it smells and tastes like pink cotton candy. The corporate media lacks the guts or the integrity to change their contemptible ways.
