Most of us have probably forgotten Baghdad Bob long ago, but as Tony Norman reminds us, he turned
out to be quite prophetic. He probably didn't believe most of his own rhetoric, but time has
proved him to be right on pretty well everything:

"How can you lay siege to a whole country? Who is really under siege now? Baghdad cannot be besieged. Al-Nasiriyah cannot be besieged. Basra cannot be besieged."

"This invasion will end in failure."

I saw footage of an Iraqi Man who is a blogger ask his son of maybe 5-6 years "Do you like the Americans?" and they boy answered

"Do you know anyone who likes the Americans?"

We make it worse there because they see the huge military bases we are building and they understand they are meant as a mechanism to permanently control the oil that is in their ground.

edit: we must have the military there to protect the pipeline halliburton wants to build.

The US can have no competitor on the global stage for Petroleum, it is not strategically advisable, you see...
