Bush is currently making a big media show of getting various opinions and considering various options, but it’s all a shell game to hide the fact that he’s already made up his mind to widen the war in the Middle East, and he really doesn’t care what anybody thinks about it.
To the corporate media: Why this repeat? We’ve already seen this program in the run-up to the Iraq war, when Bush said he wanted peace and his mind was still open. But Bush had already decided before 9-11 to invade Iraq, and “the facts were fit around the policy.”
Now it’s deja-vu all over again. But rather than exposing Bush’s pretense and lies for what they were/are, and warning the public about Bush's true motives and intentions (which had/still have nothing to do with 9-11 or national security), our corporate media shills were/still are handing him a megaphone, and “catapulting the propaganda.” Maybe several years from now, after countless thousands more have died, the New York Times will run another editorial apology because they weren’t more skeptical. Thanks guys –what would we do without a free press?
