Starbucks is running a promotion whereby customers can submit their thoughts for inclusion on Starbucks cups, as part of an effort by Starbucks to "to promote open, respectful conversation among a wide variety of individuals," according to their spokesperson.

That didn't sit right with Michelle Incanno. She got a cup featuring a quote from an Ontario customer that questions the existence of god. Now Michelle will never drink Starbucks again. Ever.

It's really more than just god vs no-god it's the ignorant rejection of critical thinking...people can't even accept any sort of doubt, questioning or serious investigation. It's as if these people (pissed off at even having the question asked) want society to commit intellectual suicide.

All of today's religions owe their very existence to doubt. If earlier creeds crushed all doubt new ones would not have arisen.

There is no PROOF that he exists.
All those who believe in him do so on FAITH.

And frankly, reading that quote, I'm not even sure he questions the existence of God.
He asks why we turn to God in moments of crisis, and says that he "MAY well be a figment of our imaginations". (emphasis mine)
