AMERICA’S FOREIGN POLICY: ANTI-FRENCH ON ALL FRONTS.

In early 2003, French Bashing was the mainstay of Comedians, Federal Representatives, Shock Jocks, Right Wing Columnists, and Stint Seeking Restaurant Owners. At the close of 2003, it became clear that Anti-French activity was now the « chasse gardée » of the White House and American Administration : no French President would be invited to celebrate the Louisiana Purchase Celebrations ; Jacques Chirac was declared persona non-grata by Washington.

PAYBACK TIME

Beyond the high profile clashing, the Anti-French agenda of the American Administration is now being conducted on several fronts. Among the many dossiers where overtly Anti-French policy is taking shape, the most obvious was the complete exclusion of French companies from the Iraq reconstruction contracts. The moved was hailed as « payback » by the Right Wing Media.
