US neo-cons forced to take a back seat for now
http://business-times.asia1.com.sg/story/0,4567,104659,00.html

THE neoconservative intellectuals who were the driving force behind the Bush administration's Iraq adventure, its alliance with Israel's Likud government and the ambitious US-led 'Democratic Empire' project are being forced to play defence these days.

Good article overall, but I still have my doubts about the neocons
"taking a back seat". I don't think that they would relinquish their
power grip that easily. I think that they're being taken out of the
limelight so people stop connecting the dots.
Besides...please do remember that this is a "selection" year...

1. Exactly- election year. Bush runs to the center.
And since neocons are somewhere near the Nazis on the political spectrum, they're going to have to lay low until the election is over.

2. It would behoove them
to lie low for now. Most of what they do is in closed sessions.
Neoconservative agendas are bad for democracy.

4. Of course they can't shut up...
but they'll be less "visible" as you have stated. They need to allow
their puppet "look good" for the upcoming "selections". First off...
the Moon and then Mars. Its ironic, we just finished invading
a country against the international communities wishes but our
"fearless leader" is distracting us with bs missions to the Moon.

Good morning to you too.
