2. "But, I'm the decider and I decide what is best. And what's best is for Don Rumsfeld to remain as
the secretary of defense." Washington D.C. April 18, 2006.

Rumsfeld got a lot of his Revolution In Military Affairs/RMA philosophy from Andrew W. Marshall.

3. Interesting. Some just hate to think of the people ruling them self
You can hear it in many ways in 'this GOP party'. In Bush's govt. and I believe it is how he talks about it. It has always been about him and those few who are sure they knew what is right for us. I have always been shocked, after Bush got in, how many who thought we should turn over it all to such a man to do as he liked and find this fine. It seemed so un-american to me.

6. We have had this thinking since the country started and I
guess it will always be around. I have always thought of the US as really a state of mind. To question ones govt.. has always been one of those things that made a good american. I feel we send people to DC to do what we want. There are few real leaders who think of new stuff and in this type govt. new thoughts work their way up from the bottom even if a so called born leader thinks them up. The 'founders' would not have got their thoughts to work unless most people learned them, or had them in their mind in the first place. This rule by a sort of father person who knows all has got to be in these peoples mind so it all fits into what they want. Bush will do right by them or so they think. Plus it is easy to let others do it. One does not have to think about that and can get right to the car races so to speak. Sorry I had to add that.

But some of The Decider's loyalists love things like the Department of Homeland Security Office of Strategic Plans

(golly, the page is gone-yet it was there 10 minutes ago- Reich Minister, I mean Mr. Chertoff must have had another bad feeling)

to me that's just another treasonous fascist bunch of junk, and I do mean fascist.

7. Another comparison to consider-the Decider's administration and "policies"
and the epoch that shaped Leo Strauss's political philosophy
