Congressman Dennis Kucinich: Justice Denied
http://www.commondreams.org/news2007/0720-03.htm

WASHINGTON - JULY 20 - Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) issued the following statement after learning a U.S. District Judge dismissed the lawsuit filed by former CIA officer Valerie Plame today.

"This decision is wrong. It denies justice to someone who suffered great harm in retaliation of the truth being leaked," Kucinich said.

"Ambassador Joseph Wilson's findings that disproved the Niger/Iraq uranium deal undercut Vice President Cheney's attempt to deceive the world about Iraq's capability to deliver weapons of mass destruction. That is one of the many reasons why I am calling for the impeachment of the Vice President.

"The Vice President actively and systematically sought to deceive the citizens and Congress about an alleged threat of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. He has purposely manipulated the intelligence process to deceive us about the relationship between Iraq and al Qaeda. And he openly lied to the America people and has publicly threatened aggression against Iran."

3. He was hospitalized for two days with

severe food poisoning. He's back at work in Washington now. The media hasn't reported it, as far as any DUers have heard. But it may not be the media ignoring Kucinich this time.

It occurred to me that if I were Elizabeth Kucinich, I'd have asked the hospital not to release the information that Dennis was there, both to keep reporters and visitors away. I'd guess he didn't feel well enough to have visitors.

4. The District judge who dismissed the suit is a G.W. Bush appointee.

Just doing his duty to the Bushes.
