This isn't really worthy of Hackworth
I check into his site ever now and then because I think he has really good sources to the military people on the ground in Iraq. Check out the picture of Hillary currently up on his front page:

http://www.hackworth.com/

I know he is not pro-Clinton, and I have no problem with that, but he has never been a ditto-monkey either. Please join me in sending him a note asking him where he stands on Senator Clinton's positions and whether he thinks the jokester paratrooper's apparent opinion is justified, and whether whether it wouldn't have been better for the soldier to face the Senator like a man than a bratty schoolkid?

The shame of it is, this guy should know that if he disagreed with Clinton on something, she would have been glad to hear it from him directly. But I suppose all he knows is the standard W has set: "who cares what you think?"

1. I agree. Very grownup behavior of the paratrooper.

4. It means he is unpatriotic...
by right wing definitions of course..

I would do that and worse if I was forced to shake Bush's hand.

5. Forced? Looks more like its amiably posed to me.
And obviously at his request. Pretty low-down if you ask me.

Of course, this is a guy that jumps out of perfectly good aircraft. Yet, he's too chicken to even give a correct, by-the-numbers finger, has to hide it, and is not man enough to tell her what his beef is when he has the rare opportunity with a US Senator, one on one.

Probably a PC officer, getting his ticket punched both ways.

6. But how do you know if this is a real photograph. . .
and not a photoshop??

Sorry, the usual "someone said it's real" doesn't cut it.

7. What's the deal
with the picture of Jane Fonda with the title "Lest we Forget" (toward the bottom of the page)? Is he branding her a traitor for opposing the Viet Nam war while at the same time enjoying his First Amendment rights to speak out against the war in Iraq? Maybe I'm dense, but I don't quite understand what he's saying here. If he's still beating on Jane Fonda - who has since apologized to the Viet Nam vets she was insensitive to or offended - isn't it time to move on?

For the most part this guy gives me the creeps, but when he writes on the war in Iraq I usually agree with him completely. Other than that issue, I bet he and most Liberals wouldn't have much to talk about...

Edit -- Hah! Nevermind. It's right there ALMOST at the top on the left. In case anyone else is as nearsighted as I seem to be tonight.

Anyone?

It's a shame. I've developed a lot of respect for him (or should I use past tense), and while I REALLY don't like Hillary, this is, as you said, beneath him.
