I've often thought over the past four years how we are wasting money half way 'round the globe while our cities rot from the inside out. The bridge collapse is definitely a wake-up call.

Bombs to take out bridges in Baghdad. Give the same cronies contracts to rebuild bridges in Iraq. Give them huge tax cuts they don't need and then claim the government has no money to take care to inspect and repair bridges at home. What a Country!
