Friday's Steve Bell Cartoon
Todays cartoon has a very British slant, but made me LOL. Blair is in big trouble at the moment, and 27/28 January could break his PMship. First he has a vote on Fees for Higher education, which breaks his electoral pledge. He has turned this into a vote of confidence. Then he has the Hutton report. This may then be followed by a confidence motion. Fingers crossed to the end of Blair.

The cartoon is part Hutton report (Geoff Hoon defense minister will take any bullet in the report for Blair), but mainly in response to the Widow of the first British soldier to die in Iraq challenging the Government about her husbands death. He died after having to return his body armour on account of there not being enough to go round. If he had kept the body armour he would be alive today.

anyway enough of that here is the link, enjoy:-

1. Great cartoon! I think that even if Blair survives the Hutton
investigation and wins the issue of "top up fees", he's still going to be a goner soon. Bush used him for as long as he needed to, and then dumped him. I just can't imagine two more pathetic political figures. And it's shameful and embarrassing that an American president had to sneak out of the back door of St. James to avoid the citizens of Britain on his photo-op trip. I'm sure that Bush* still holds a grudge. I bet he spent a lot of time nagging Blair to just shoot the protesters and let him have his little carriage ride with the queen. I can just here the whining and threats now.

Blair needs to go as much as the Pretender to the White House.
