Bush clarifies things - sort of

He loves his 'decision-making' job

By DEB RIECHMANN
Associated Press

LANCASTER, Pa. - Give the man a microphone and he'll talk about anything.

For 76 minutes on Wednesday, President Bush prowled the stage in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch country, giving a speech and answering questions about his opposition to tax increases and his veto of a bill to expand children's health insurance.

~snip~

"My job is a decision-making job. And as a result, I make a lot of decisions," the president said.

He elaborated on that point later.

"I delegate to good people. I always tell Condi Rice, 'I want to remind you, Madam Secretary, who has the Ph.D. and who was the C student. And I want to remind you who the adviser is and who the president is.'

"I got a lot of Ph.D. types and smart people around me who come into the Oval Office and say, 'Mr. President, here's what's on my mind.' And I listen carefully to their advice. But having gathered the device , I decide, you know, I say, 'This is what we're going to do.' And it's 'Yes, sir, Mr. President.' And then we get after it, implement policy."

4. What an ass...
He had some fun with a woman who seemed slow on the draw when Bush called on her.
"You want a little chance to collect the thoughts, you know? I mean we're talking national TV here, you know?" he said.
"I actually wrote it down so I wouldn't get flustered," the woman said.
"It didn't work," Bush said.

And that woman probably still is in love with him and a full supporter of his shitting on Americans

7. Reminds me of the old joke about bush surrounding himself with smart people.
Bush asks the Queen of England how she is able to understand all the complex issues of the day.

The Queen responds: "I surround myself with smart people."

Bush asks: "But how can you tell they are smart?"

The Queen says: "Easy, I just ask them a question. Here I'll show you." She presses a red button and Tony Blair walks in. She says, "Your parents are having a baby. It isn't your brother and it isn't your sister. Who is the child?"

Tony Blair says: "That's simple it is me."

The Queen says: "Yes, that is correct." and she sends him away.

Bush returns to the White House and presses a red button on his desk. Cheney comes in. Bush asks him, "Your parents are having a baby. It isn't your brother and it isn't your sister. Who is the child?"

Cheney says: "I don't know. I need to think about it." and he returns to his own office. He thinks about it and can't find an answer so he decides to call someone else for the answer. He calls Colin Powell. He asks Colin the question and Colin answers him. So he returns to the oval office.

"I've figured out the answer." He tells bush.

"What's the answer?" bush asks.

"It is Colin Powell." Cheney says.

"No it's not." bush corrects him. "Everyone knows it's Tony Blair."

9. I've never seen anyone who's as proud of being a dumbass as * is
"I delegate to good people. I always tell Condi Rice, 'I want to remind you, Madam Secretary, who has the Ph.D. and who was the C student. And I want to remind you who the adviser is and who the president is.'"

As if he got to be president based on his own merits and character. Whatever, Slack-jawed-Yokel-in-Chief. :eyes: And Condi Rice is a good person? Please. She's at least as big an incompetent buffoon and blight on the world stage as he is!

12. Malloy played some clips of this last night
W needs to be tightly scripted, or he embarrasses himself. I can't bear to watch or listen anymore.
Malloy has played clips of various speaking engagements he's had over the past few years that are absolutely, definitely scary. Too bad they are not shown on mainstream media so that more people can see them.
