French Say Iran attack Oct 15, NORTHCOM Plans 5 Day Martial Law Exercise The Same Day

Do you believe in coincidences? Of course, they happen all the time, and with this government, coincidence and incompetence are the bread and butter of the Bush administration. When I quoted “Le Canard Enchaîné” which I found in The New York Sun that predicted an attack on Iran would occur on October the 15th, I was then unaware that NORTHCOM was Planning a 5 Day anti-terrorism exercise called Vigilant Shield 08. I noted that members from the site George W. Bush - Terrorist in the White House were following a link to my article on the subject, Attack On Iran Slated For October 15th, Prepare For Disaster. Being my usual curious self, I went to their site, and I found this link staring me in the face - and when I read it, a chill ran up my spine as I attempted to grasp the magnitude of the “coincidence.”:

NORTHCOM Plans 5 Day Martial Law Exercise

The United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM) has just announced plans for an anti-terrorism exercise called Vigilant Shield 08. The exercise which is slated to run from October 15th to October 20th is described as a way to prepare, prevent and respond to any number of national crises. The exercise is simply a test case scenario for the implementation of martial law. Although the description of the exercise is disturbing, USNORTHCOM also announced that they are more prepared for a natural disaster and a
terrorist attack after they used their response to Hurricane Katrina as a test laboratory.

During Hurricane Katrina, authorities violated the constitutional rights of citizens by stealing people’s firearms and even relocating people against their will. These announcements are incredibly disturbing on a number of levels as the nature of Vigilant Shield 08 and the admission that Hurricane Katrina was used as a test laboratory shows that the government is actively preparing the military and government institutions
for martial law.

This exercise is clearly a way to prepare government to respond to a national crisis with martial law. This announcement also follows a number of other news stories that indicate the government is becoming more actively prepared for the implementation of martial law. LINK

1. I doubt it, the New Moon was October 11, 2007

And when it comes to Air Attacks given today's technology, the less light the better. Thus most air Attacks, occur with the New Moon. Now they is a possibility for October 15, wait for the Iranians to stand down from a new moon date, but I doubt it (but each day after October 15 such an attack become less likely, till November 9th the next New Moon.

2. Good Point!

I am hoping that the rumored military revolt against the Cheney plot is true. It would keep us safer than anything else available except impeachment and incarceration.

3. Given today's Technology, an Air Attack during A new moon is best. from the Military point of View

And then to continue the air Attacks for six weeks, till the Second Following Full Moon. The Army needs a Full Moon for the night vision goggles work very well, you miss holes and other defects on the ground do to the lack of light in the hole. If they is no light to enhance, it might appear to be solid ground when it is a deep hole. A problem for people operating on the ground, but NOT a problem in the Air. Thus Desert Storm was a Massive air Attack during a New Moon followed by six weeks of further Air Attacks and then a Night Offensive during the Full Moon. The latest invasion of Iraq the US had been during Air attacks for YEARS, thus the only thing new was the Ground attack.

The problem I have is given a dispute between Wall Street and ANYONE ELSE, wall street wins. A Thursday Attack (i.e. October 11) might cause Panic on Friday do to the fact that Stock trades will be looking at the weekend at two days without the ability to TRADE. Thus a Thursday or Friday attack may force people to panic and SELL their stock in anticipation of a sell off the following Monday (do to a drop over the weekend, this is why most crushes occur on Fridays, as stock traders look to the weekend). Thus a Monday attack might make sense for Bush, to protect his buddies on wall Street from such fears (i.e. they can wait to see if the stock falls while the market is open, instead of having to wait in fear over a weekend). Given this administration I can NOT exclude such thinking, Wall Street First and only and the hell with even valid Military reasons.

4. I hate to be scary here but the new moon is the darkest time

this i know because I sailed for many years and the new moon was always the darkest times at night. So this would dovetail quite nicely with a bombing raid. Scary.

5. That the point, you want total darkness for an air strike

Remember you are going to the target using radar or GPS, thus seeing the target is unimportant. Thus Air Attacks occur during the New Moon, less chance of detection by visual means.

6. “Le Canard Enchaîné” is a satirical magazine

it has existed for decades. I have to wonder why something from it showed up in the Post... not to say it's not true, but that magazine is not a good source for info.

True - They usually publicize satire...

But, as odd as it is for a publication that usually does satire, they are also known for their investigative staff. Further, according to Military.com, where a similar thread is running, one of the members pointed-out that the comment in regard Putin had been verified, and there still is no denial from Saudi Arabia.

The French publication was the only foreign article that forecast a specific date, however it has been predicted from publications in the UK and several other countries, including the UAE and/or Dubai. I don't have a clue if it's true, but they are far from being the only international paper/news services to state this - and usually, where there's smoke, there's fire.
