1. The game's going to be played ONLINE? |
|
Does that mean the players don't have to show up?
Are Manning and Brady gonna be in Internet cafes in their home towns?
(For those who don't know...this is the University of Phoenix...the school that has a football stadium but no TEAM...and no campus...)

First, they get a stadium...
Next, they get a coaching staff, and recruit a team...
Later, they build an actual campus and dorms to house them...
Sounds like the makings of a college football power to me!
PAC-11, anyone?:eyes:
B-)

5. You guys are missing the best part... |

The Cardinals move to Phoenix with the promise that they will have a brand new stadium built for them. Meanwhile, they are to play for the "short term" at Arizona State's facility, Sun Devil Stadium. The "short term" turns into almost two DECADES of playing pro-football in a college stadium, and the team owner is bitching about it the whole time. Eventually they get their brand new stadium built, and BAM! They name it after a freakin' college! The official title is University of Phoenix Stadium. There were so many people pissed off out here over that one... it was hilarious. A couple of the AM and FM sports announcers were refusing to call it that last year, they kept calling it Cardinal Stadium. Someone must've threatened a lawsuit though, I noticed this year all the radio broadcasters called it by the official name.
