Barry Goldwater used the campaign slogan "In your heart you know he's right!" Which Democrats quickly inverted to, "In your guts you know he's nuts!"
Or don't blame Eisenhower he didn't do anything! Or Bush you're kidding right? Or W "Just look at him"
