2007 Letter from Rev. Wright to NYT |
|
This is very interesting.... It seems that journalism, even from the respected Gray Lady (NYT) has degenerated to the level of the National Inquirer... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/03/27/flashback-wrights-lette_n_93820.html

I wonder that the NYT printed it.

Rev. Wright is understandably angry at being used by the NY Times. He lays out a very strong case. Check it out. Everyone should read his letter. K&R!

4. Can somebody make sense of this for me? |
|
"Maybe it was my faith in the Jewish Holy Day of Roshashana. Maybe it was my being caught up in the euphoria of the Season of Lent; but whatever it is or was, I was sadly mistaken."
I'm fairly sure he meant 'Rosh Hashanah' (under whatever transliteration system you want). But I don't see how Rosh hashanah and Lent come close to each other. Sept.-Oct. versus what? March, +/- a couple of weeks?

5. Sounds to me like Wright was naive. |
|
What did he expect from the Times? -or from any corporate media outlet?
Honesty? Context? Fair treatment?
