Friends in high places (USA Today editorial rips Dodd and Conrad)
June 18, 2008
USA Today

Even if the senators didn't know they were getting special treatment, it seems odd that Countrywide would run a favor factory but fail to inform the recipients of the favors. It also appears naive for a senator to talk to a mortgage company CEO or be designated a VIP and fail to see a hint of special treatment. At best, the senators used poor judgment.

Countrywide's practices are facing an array of inquiries. The ethics panel ought to join the hunt and get to the bottom of a program that offered at least two senators better treatment than their non-VIP constituents.

4. I hear tell that people with influence who are not Democratic politicians use homeless
for advise whenever they seek mortgages and will refuse to get good deals when offered even if their wife is the CEO of a mortgage company...cause you know...10,700 (or 2% of a $500,000) loan in savings on one's closing is just PROOF of corruption or 4.25% on a FUCKING ARM is such a good deal that Dodd should step down because that is PROOF of pay to play...

THESE PUNDITS ARE TAKING NOTHING TO LENGTHS I CANNOT BELIVE..AND DO NOT TELL ME REPUBLICANS WERE NOT ON THEIR VIP LIST..come on Democrats who have inside resources let's get those on the repub side who have gotten a 2% point discount or a FUCKING ARM at 4.25%..

those things are not even a blip on the radar...WHO BROKE THIS STORY??? THE FEDS QUESTIONING COUNTRYWIDE (TORTURE) AND GETTING DEMOCRATS NAMES ONLY???
